All items are carefully packaged to insure their safety upon arrival. Items are shipped on Fridays, if you need an item by a certain date, please email us (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we will do our best to accommodate your request.Domestic Packages are shipped Priority Mail or First Class Mail (depending on weight) via the United States Postal Service. Most items will take two to three days from the shipping date to arrive within the continental United States.
International Packages are shipped First Class Mail via the United States Postal Service. It may take from to 1-6 weeks for your package to arrive. Please check with your customs office, if you have not received your package within the given time.
We want our customers to be satisfied with their purchase from Salvage Life. We understand that it can be hard to be sure of the fit without trying something on first, which is why we are happy to assist you if you are confused about measurements or sizing. ALL SALES ARE FINAL on vintage merchandise and all international orders. New merchandise has a return period of 14 days for an exchange or merchandise credit. Please email us (email@example.com) within 7 days of receiving your item with "return request" in the subject line. If you have any questions, please ask before purchasing.
Remember, our items have been “salvaged,” therefore they may have slight imperfections. If an item has a drastic imperfection, it will be stated in the Description.
If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your order, please email firstname.lastname@example.org within one week of receiving your item and we will work to resolve the issue. If an item was damaged during shipping or inaccurately described, we will accept an exchange. However, you must first contact us and then we will ask you to send the item back using Priority Shipping with a delivery confirmation and insurance. Please do not send the item back without discussing it first, we have return procedures. If you do, we will have to charge you a restocking fee.
Purchases from online can be returned in store, but please email us first at email@example.com for approval.
All in store purchases can exchanged within 14 days, or can receive merchandise credit toward a future purchase.
Please understand that many of our items are vintage and therefore, in used condition. Please expect slight wear or tiny flaws. Anything else will be listed in the description.
Mint = perfect
Near Mint = not perfect, but close
Excellent = light wear, but no outstanding flaws
Great = pretty good, light wear or minor flaws
Good = some wear, flaws
The measurements given in the listings are based on the following methods:
Bust: armpit to armpit x 2
Waist: waist seam x 2
Hip: a few inches down from waist x 2
Length: Dress/top - where shoulder seam meets neck or top of strap to hem, Pants/skirt - waist to hem
Sleeve Length: top of shoulder seam to sleeve hem
Length: corner to corner on front
Height: top to bottom on front
Width: corner to corner on side
Strap/Handle Height: middle top of bag to strap,
Total length of chain: open necklace and lay out straight, measure total length of chain
Length of Pendant: top to bottom of pendant
Width of Pendant: side to side of pendant
Approximate sizes given are based on the following measurements:
Waist: 30" to 32"
Hip: 38" to 40"
If a measurement says "free" it means that the fit is very loose and therefore a measurement is not necessary.

DO YOU OFFER RETURNS FOR ITEMS THAT DO NOT FIT?
We understand that it is difficult to buy things online without trying them on. Please see return policy above.
DO YOU NEGOTIATE PRICES OR OFFER DISCOUNTS ON MULTIPLE ITEMS?
We offer shipping discounts for multiple item purchases as found in the listings. We are unable to offer any other discounts. Items prices are firm and are marked down based on length of time in the shop.
CAN YOU MARK THAT A PACKAGE IS A GIFT ON THE CUSTOMS FORM FOR INTERNATIONAL PURCHASES?
Our policy is to be honest in all that we do. If we lie to the customs authorities, whose to say that we will not lie to you about our products. Please factor in the customs fees when purchasing.
We purchase most of our vintage from our regular vendors and don't generally buy from the public. If you have something to sell that you think would work well in the Salvage Life shop, please email photos to firstname.lastname@example.org.
